I want to introduce you to Restaurant.com! It’s a great site where you can buy coupons (or gift certificates as they call them) for local restaurants to save money! With Restaurant.com, you can still afford to eat out occasionally, even with rising gas prices! You can check to see what restaurants are in your area or if you are traveling for vacation, you can search that area as well!
Right now you can use code LIBERTY for 50% the cost of your dining certificate. If your certificate is $10, you only pay $5 with the code.

Here is a very simple recipe for a 4th of July Fruit Tart! Yum!
Ingredients:
Premade sugar cookie dough, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup sugar, fresh strawberries and blueberries.
Directions: Cook cookie dough in the shape of a rectangle (or flag) for 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool for 20 minutes. While the dough is cooling, mix cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar in a bowl. Spread the tart filling on top. Cut fruit and place on top. Make the blueberries in the top left corner and use the strawberries as the stripes for the flag. Chill before serving.

My dad always said the only thing better than having a boat is realizing that you know someone does. You see, boats are very expensive and this way you don’t have to pay all the expenses but you can still enjoy the amenities! My dad worked really hard for his boss and helped him maintain his boat so that we could enjoy it during the summer! It was a great trade off and my dad taught us that hard work would bring great blessings! He also fixed up a condo in South Padre Island and did yard work at a camping lodge. He was very handy and did all these things so that my mom could stay home when I was little and we could still enjoy nice vacations!
Recently we moved to a lake community. This may have been the best decision we have ever made with the price of gas right now! Within walking distance of a tenth of a mile, we have access to a small private beach and boat launch area that only our street of 12 houses can use. We can also walk half a mile to a huge beach that our whole lake community can use. We can kayak and fish and have tons of fun without using any gas. Our lake taxes are not too high and are totally worth the gas we are saving right now! Our boys are in heaven with all the summer fun!
What do you do if you don’t live on a lake? Do you know a friend who does? Do you have a family member or neighbor who has a pool? Do you live near a state park? State park passes cost between $50-$100 a year. Most parks have a great kiddie area where kids can swim.
What are some other things you can do this summer that are frugal activities? Please share!

Buy 3 packages of Walgreens brand Jumbo diapers–on sale for $5.99 this week
Use $5/2 EasySaver coupon–this should take $2.50 off each pack of diapers
Use $2/1 Savings Book coupon–this should take $2 off each pack of diapers
Spend $4.47 plus tax out of pocket
Get $5 Register Rewards back
Free after coupons and Register Rewards!
Look for a $50 Saving Book in the pharmacy section. It contains the diaper coupon for $2/1 package of diapers. If your store allows you to use both the Savings Book coupon and the EasySaver coupon together (most should accept both, because these are store coupons, but there are reports of not all stores accepting them).
When you get your register rewards, you can use them to buy other items but you can’t use them to do this deal again. You can do the deal many times, it just won’t let you “roll” the rewards towards diapers again. (Thanks Money Saving Mom!)
